The new Air model comes with a good looking design and 4 elegant pastel colors. There’s a new type of display here, improved AI and a lightweight design. It’s got a 2.8K screen and an upgraded Notes app. The Huawei MatePad Air 2024 has a camera area inspired by the Nova 12 Ultra, for some reason. It’s available in green, pink, white or gray.
It measures 183 x 270 x 5.9 mm and weighs just 555 grams. The screen on board is an IPS, a 12 inch one with a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels and 144 Hz refresh rate. It has a Papermatte finish, which reduces the light reflection by 60% compared to the predecessor. It also reduces interference of light by 99% and offers a crisp image, while watching movies, reading e-books or writing notes.
There’s also stylus support. Other specs include a dual back camera, with a main 13 MP shooter with F/1.8 aperture and autofocus, plus an 8 megapixel fixed focus F/2.2 aperture ultrawide lens. Upfront we find an 8 megapixel selfie camera. There’s also a 10.100 mAh battery inside, with 66W fast charging. There are 14 hours of video playback available here.
The company also integrates an M-Pencil 3rd gen stylus and a magnetic keyboard powered by NearLink technology. The keyboard weighs 308 grams and it’s very slim and light. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, with features like Celia AI, PC-level apps, a Born to Draw appp and a new Notes app. The pricing starts at $417 for the 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage version.
