Lenovo Gaming Tablet Y700 (2024) Confirmed, With Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor Inside

Lenovo has a new gaming tablet incoming, part of the Legion series, even though a new console like the ROG Ally would make more sense. The Lenovo Legion Go is aging… Anyway, the big brand has confirmed that it’s going to release the Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet, 2024 edition, with a powerful CPU inside.

Also known as the Legion Tab, the newcomer is going to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. A recent leak from GeekBench revealed that the CPU is indeed the main Qualcomm one for 2024. The 2023 edition of the tablet was introduced in China, having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor inside and a 144 Hz screen, which is probably going to be kept on the new version, too.

I doubt that Lenovo would want to jump to 165 Hz. The GeekBench listing also reveals that the Y700 has 12 GB of RAM And it scores 2209 points in the Single Core test and 6509 in the Multi Core test. The predecessor also had a rather generous resolution, of 2560 x 1600 pixels, peak brightness of 500 nits and aside from the CPU mentioned above, it had LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. There was also a 13 megapixel dual camera with LED flash and an 8 MP selfie camera.

A 6550 mAh battery kept on the lights, with support for 45W Super Flash Charging. It also offered dual USB-C ports for charging and headphone uses. I’d also like to see some sort of gaming accessories for the tablet, like a controller of sorts.
