HONOR MagicPad 2 Launched, Tablet With AI Features, OLED Display

HONOR launched new products today, including the very slim Magic V3 foldable, but also a tablet with AI features, the MagicPad 2. The device impressed with an OLED screen, but the other specs are also rather solid.

The MagicPad 2 packs a 10 bit panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, as well as a resolution of 3000 x 1920 pixels. It also has up to 1600 nits of peak brightness. HONOR also unveiled that we’re getting PWM dimming at 4320 Hz here and that there’s TUV Rheinland certification for screen protection from flickering and blue light. The tablet impressed with a very skinny waistline of just 5.8 mm and it will have a smaller footprint compared to the first MagicPad.

HONOR has kept the 10.050 mAh battery with support for 66W wired charging. There’s also a 13 megapixel main camera and a 9 MP front camera for videocalls. The MagicPad 2 also has Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0 out of the box and comes with a series of AI features powered by a Qualcomm chipset. Multitasking involves recognition for handwritten formulas, geometric figures, handwriting and objects.

The tablet also comes with Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and stylus support, namely Magic Pen 3. There are 8 speakers on board and IMAX Enhanced certification for audio and video. HONOR MagicPad 2 arrives in white, black and cyan. It’s sold in versions with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The most powerful of them has 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage.

The device starts at $400. The CPU is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 by the way.
