Infinix Starts Making Tablets Now, XPad Will Be Its First Model
Infinix is one of the major players in the smartphone biz which you probably haven’t heard of. They’re part of the Transion Group, which had a huge amount of success in Africa, the Arab countries and more. Transion is actually the fourth largest phone maker in the world. Now Infinix is about to start making tablets.
Infinix has been growing a lot, recently expanding to Eastern Europe, via a launch in Romania. The company is working on its first tablet, known as the Infinix XPad. The name has been revealed through an IMEI database and it’s also known under the codename X1101B. Sadly no other details are known just yet, but we’re expecting a midrange tablet, much like the POCO and Redmi ones launched recently.
Also, a price below $300 is very likely. Sources talk about a SIM card on the tablet, 4G support and probably a screen closer to 11 inches rather than an 8 incher. I’ve noticed that current trends call for larger screen tablets and the smaller ones have died out. Probably a Helio processor inside from MediaTek, or maybe even an Unisoc.
