New 12.2 inch ASUS Pad Tablet Gets Launch Date for India

ASUS has a brand new tablet out, a 12.2 inch model dubbed simply ASUS Pad. Today it gets a launch date in India and it seems it will be available there starting August 5th at 12:00 noon local time. Sadly we don’t have a price yet, but we do have plenty of specs.

This tablet uses an OLED screen, with a resolution of 2800 x 1840 pixels. It also has a refresh rate of 144 Hz, as well as a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 2000 nits brightness. The slate has 4 speakers, which support Dolby Atmos 360 and it’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, together with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

At the back we find a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash, while upfront there’s a 5 megapixel camera for video calls and such. The product packs a 9000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The ASUS Pad measures 271.1 x 182.4 x 6.5 mm and weighs 523 grams. It will also be bundled with a case. It runs on Android 16 and it will be sold in Pure White only.

It will feature a magnesium-alloy chassis, together with a fiberglass rear panel. It should also support an ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus and optional Bluetooth keyboard.
