Well, this is not exactly a tablet, but it’s also not that far from it. Aura Displays has just launched a foldable 13.3 inch AMOLED portable monitor, which comes with touch support. It’s called the Single Flex Pro and uses a flexible AMOLED panel.

The idea is to get a proper monitor, that folds and fits in a backpack. When folded shut, the monitor measures 6 by 9 inches and it’s just over half an inch thick. It weighs 1.54 pounds, which is OK for a portable monitor. Once it’s opened up, it shows a 13.3 inch screen with a 3:4 aspect ratio. Aura Displays claims that it uses a proprietary hinge mechanism and panel design called FlexMAtrix. This means you can use the screen completely flat, or slightly bent, or even propped up like an open book.

It can also be rotated between standard landscape and portrait modes. This is useful for coders, people who work with spreadsheets and long texts. The display itself is a an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. It has a 60 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 300 nits. Since it’s an OLED, it delivers deep blacks and decent color coverage.

On the connectivity side there’s a single USB-C port, make it easy to set up for Macs, Windows PCs, iPads and more. The price is kind of steep, I have to admit, at around $1299. There’s also a larger 17 inch model in the works, available from June 2026 if you want more.
