Xiaomi has officially launched the Black Shark Gaming Tablet on global markets, after an initial teaser phase and a quiet listing on the brand’s website that lacked pricing or availability details. The device is now available worldwide through the official Black Shark store on AliExpress, positioning itself as a compact performance tablet designed specifically for mobile gaming.
The tablet features an 8.8-inch form factor, weighs 332 g and measures 7.7 mm in thickness. Its chassis is built from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with laser-etched detailing and comes in black or silver. At the core is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, equipped with an octa-core CPU clocked up to 3.0 GHz and a 40 TOPS NPU for AI tasks. Black Shark claims the device surpasses 1.9 million points in AnTuTu, placing it firmly in flagship territory. The tablet ships with Android 16, alongside 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage, expandable via microSD (TF) up to 2 TB.

Up front, the Black Shark Gaming Tablet uses a 2.5K display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate and 343 PPI. The panel supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, reaches 600 nits peak brightness and is factory-calibrated to ΔE < 1 for high color accuracy. Cooling is handled by an extensive setup that includes a large vapor chamber, multiple layers of graphene and a metal thermal structure with a material area of 25,176 mm². For longer sessions, an optional magnetic external cooler is also available.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, and DisplayPort output for 4K external displays. Audio is delivered through symmetrical dual speakers powered by a K9 smart amplifier.
The tablet integrates a 7,300 mAh battery rated for up to 5.6 hours of gaming, 10.3 hours of web browsing, 7 hours of video playback and 76 hours of music playback. It also includes a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera, sufficient for basic capture and video calls.
